Our research will apply the tools of Molecular, Cellular, and Tissue Engineering & Biomaterials Science to study the immune system – especially Macrophages and their defining effector function, Phagocytosis. At the same time, we will harness Macrophages and Phagocytosis for bioengineering applications to overcome challenges in immunotherapies.
